A lot of “it suddenly stopped working” reports come down to an outdated app talking to an updated service. Updating takes a minute.

On iPhone / iPad (App Store)

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Scroll down — pending updates are listed there.
  4. Tap Update next to the app, or Update All.
  5. Once done, reopen the app.

Tip: To update one specific app fast, search for it in the App Store — if the button says Update instead of Open, you’re behind.

On Android (Google Play)

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Manage apps & device.
  4. If it says “Updates available”, tap Update all — or tap through to update just the one app.
  5. Reopen the app when the update finishes.
  • iPhone: Settings → Apps → App Store → App Updates (toggle on).
  • Android: Play Store → profile picture → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps → Over Wi-Fi.
