A private (incognito) window starts with no cookies, no cached data, and most extensions disabled. If a site works in a private window but not in a normal one, the problem is something stored in your browser — not the site itself.

Open a private window

  1. Use the shortcut for your browser:
    • Chrome / Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)
    • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + P (Mac)
    • Safari (Mac): Cmd + Shift + N
  2. In the new window, go to the site and log in as usual.
  3. Check whether the problem still happens.

What the result tells you

  • Works in private, broken in normal — your cache or cookies are the culprit. Clear the cache for your browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. If clearing doesn’t fix it, try disabling extensions one at a time (some run even in private mode’s normal counterpart).
  • Broken in both — it’s not your browser data. Check your connection or contact support with what you’re seeing.
